Your not that much older than her, but I would worry about the maturity level. A couple of my guy friends that are have dated year olds and it never really worked due to the maturity level. I think the main issues were they had to work and the younger girls didn't. Plus, if she's about to start college, do you think she's really gonna stay with you? Once most people get in college they just want to date different people at first because it's such a different environmnt and more guys that you haven't been in school with in the last years. I would think about her maturity level and if you really like her too.
And I know many people who once they turned 18 it doesnt matter what the legal age is they started to drink, she should make her own decisions. I really think you should try and see how it works out, you never know if you try right? No point in beginning if you doubt it will work.

He really is trying to recover which I think is total BS, his last relationship was in November! It's weird though, because after that it was really awkward, but then he continued talking like nothing happened.
